YIP Seeking New Members

The Youth in Philanthropy Advisory Board is currently seeking new members for the 2015-2016 school year. Students entering grades 9-12, who live in West Chester or Liberty Township, are eligible to apply. The deadline is May 21st and there will be an informational session at the Foundation office on May 18th at 7:00 PM for interested students and their parents. 

Youth in Philanthropy is a program designed to introduce local high school students to philanthropy and community development. The program provides hands-on experience that benefits both the participating students and local charities. By their involvement with the Youth In Philanthropy program, students work in the community to raise money, build endowment funds and make grants to nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives of youth our community. Engaging high school studedents in philanthropy is an opportunity to prepare young people to be active, lifelong community citizens
